Facilities & Layout Goals Section

Both in and out of class today I have worked on the senior seminar spring independent project sills component checklist sheet. However, the majority of my time was spent working to complete the Facilities & Layout Goals section. I split it again into two main section one focusing on the Franchise businesses and layout and another set up focused on the individual products. For example when focusing on a franchise company we will set up our company and manufacturing in close proximity to the companies distributer. This will allow us to save money on shipping and we can rather give our product to the distributer to distribute. Now, if we are focusing on the individual products the location it is not as focused as when working with a franchise manufacture.  Another major part of the facilities is the price that it cost to produce this product not necessary the materials needed but the indirect supplies such as electricity, machines, the physical structure of the building, water, heat, internet, cable, phone, and more… Overall there is an extreme amount of information that goes into the facilities that may be overlooked.
